Alpha Salmon supports Australian Pavilion at World Expo 2010

On Friday, 8 May 2009, Alpha Salmon was pleased to deploy the new Australian Pavilion website – www.australianpavilion.com

As part of the Communications and Public Affairs consortium lead by Parker and Partners, Alpha Salmon has been working with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade on the stage 1 completion of website development since late 2008.

Catering both English and Chinese speaking audience, this bilingual website is one of many commitments for the Australian Government in leading up to World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, which is set to be the biggest and most dynamic world exposition ever.

Launched by the Australian Minister for Trade, Simon Crean, the website is content-managed using AlphaCMS, a user-friendly content management system that allows non-technical authors to update content effectively and efficiently.

AlphaCMS is one of Alpha Salmon's web technology solution suites in managing dynamic website content. AlphaCMS is also the preferred CMS by other enterprise clients in various industries.

The Australian Pavilion website currently features “Name the Mascot” competition representing the cheeky and bold nature Australian native bird – Kookaburra.

“The Australian pavilion website is one of many marketing mix leading up the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. Alpha Salmon is proud to be part of the Australian history in the making.” said Rudi Tan, Alpha Salmon's general manager.

“It is also a testament of AlphaCMS – a robust and user-friendly content management system for multilingual marketing websites.” Mr Tan added.

Stage 2 of the website development will include interactive components, such as a virtual tour of the Australian Pavilion. Such component among the others will be completed in September 2009.
